Emergency Supplies
How To Get You and Your Family Prepared

After Hurricane Katrina, my husband and I realized the importance of having emergency supplies on hand and being self-sufficient. We wanted to design a website that not only gives you and your family all the information you need but also helps you find the best resources available.

EmergencySuppliesInfo.com

The possibility of emergencies striking in the world might be something that concerns you. With the recent wake of hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes and wildfires, you may feel that it's time to get more prepared?

Are you prepared?

Disaster can happen at any time with little or no warning. You and your family may not have access to food, water, electricity and other utilities for days or weeks. It is important that you and your family have emergency supplies stored at your home, at work and in your car.

So how do you begin to prepare?

Get started with the three most important survival basics:

1. Emergency Kit

  • When you are preparing for a possible emergency situation, you will want to think about the basics of survival: food, water, clean air and warmth.
    Learn more...

2. Emergency Plan

  • You and your family may not be in the same location when an emergency strikes, so you need to plan in advance: have a way of contacting each other; what will you need to do to get back together; and what you will do in different emergency situations.
    Learn more...

3. Be Informed

  • Make yourself aware of the emergencies that could happen where you live and the best way to respond.
    Learn more...

Be prepared! You owe it to yourself and your family to be ready.

We can't always control situations that come up, but we can control how well prepared we are to handle those situations. You can be isolated or stranded in your car, in your home or at work.

In a disaster there may be power outages, and the phones systems could also be down. In an emergency situation, the chances of getting water, food or other emergency supplies might not be possible.

Don't forget about your pets! Your pets are more than just animals they are part of your family. Pet emergency care should be included in your emergency planning process.

Once disaster strikes, you won't have time to search or shop for supplies.

Being prepared ahead of time could mean the difference between placing your family at risk during a disaster or being comfortable because you have put together your family emergency kits, you have made a family plan and you are better informed.

We hope this website is helpful to you!
